This website does not set any cookies

MBK.City works without advertising cookies, without tracking and without advertising networks. There are no third-party analytics services and nobody to whom we pass on your behaviour. We count for ourselves how often each page is visited – without a cookie, without an identifier and without storing your IP address. Nobody can be recognised from these figures.

What we still ask you about: the MBK-Map

The map on this site shows map tiles from OpenStreetMap. These images are not stored on our server but on the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation – when they load, those servers receive your IP address. This is the only point at which data leaves our site, and that is why we ask you first.

Your choice takes effect immediately and remains stored in this browser. Without your consent, the MBK-Map shows an area with a button – if you tap it, this counts as consent for this browser.

How we count visits

So that we know whether anyone reads the site at all, we count visits ourselves – on our own server, without any third-party service. When you open a page, your browser sends a tiny message to us and we increase a counter. Only the following is stored:

which page was visited (the path, e.g. `/preise.html`),
on which day – not at what time,
which site you came from, and of that only the name of the service (e.g. "Google", "WhatsApp"), never the full address.

The following is not stored: your IP address, a cookie, an identifier, your device or your browser. So all that is created each day is a simple tally. That is also why these are page views and not visitors: we cannot tell whether ten views come from ten people or from one person looking at ten pages – and we do not want to.

As no data is stored on or read from your device for this purpose and nobody can be recognised, we do not need your consent for it. Only we can see the figures; they are kept for 13 months and then deleted.

What else your browser stores

The following stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or to third parties. It is necessary for the site to work and therefore does not require consent:

Light or dark – so that the site looks the same next time as it did last time.
Language – if you switch between German and English.
Your web card – if you collect stamps in your browser without the app, a random identifier is stored there. It does not contain a name; an email address is only added once you back up your card (see Privacy policy).
Manager login – anyone who logs in as a merchant under `/manager/` stays logged in for up to 90 days. When you log out, the token is deleted.

Technically, these are not cookies but entries in the browser's local storage (localStorage). You can delete them at any time via your browser settings ("Clear website data").
